Jason-1 Level 2 PO.DAAC generated Sea Surface Height from Jason-1 GDR-C
This dataset contains the PO.DAAC produced Sea Surface Height Anomalies (SSHA) calculated from Jason-1 Geophysical Data Record version C (GDR-C, http://podaac.jpl.nasa.gov/dataset/JASON-1_L2_OST_GDR_Ver-C_Binary). SSHA is calculated according to the Jason-1 User's Handbook (ftp://podaac.jpl.nasa.gov/allData/jason1/L2/gdr_c/docs/Handbook_Jason_v4-1.pdf ). Data are edited to remove land and erroneous values, making it appropriate for open oceans. Significant wave height and total electron count are included as well. The data are arranged into 10 day cycles that consist of 254 pass files, ~56 minutes long, in big-endian binary format.
