Jason-1 L2 Near Real Time Sea Surface Height Anomaly Geodetic Orbit
These data are from the Jason-1 Geodetic Mission. The Jason-1 Near Real Time (NRT) Sea Surface Height Anomaly (SSHA) dataset contain SSHA that are available within 7 hours time lag of measurement. It is generated using a GPS orbit based from OSTM/Jason-2 crossovers, thus giving a more accurate orbit than that found in the Operational Sensor Data Record (OSDR). The OSDR is available within a 3-5 hour time lag but uses a DORIS based orbit and does not contain all the parameters needed to calculate SSHA. The NRT SSHA is the only dataset available at PO.DAAC that contains SSHA within a few hours of measurement.
