This data set contains data collected from mid-May through mid-October, 1987 at 21 stations located within 19 sitegrids spread throughout the FIFE study area. For a description of the theory behind the original surface flux measurements see the documentation for each of the original surface flux data sets. Surface heat flux data routinely have erroneous jumps (i.e., spikes) in the latent and sensible heat flux time series in the early morning and evening hours due to small gradients in the measured data. A series of tests were developed to identify these spikes and flag them. Flux data obtained from Bowen ratio sites are also checked for energy imbalances. These data were also compared to model results. The consistency between these two methods is indicated in this data set.' description_attribution: http://daac.ornl.gov//FIFE/guides/Surf_Flux_Baseline_92_Derived.html display_name: Surface Flux Baseline 92 Derived (FIFE) doi: 10.3334/ORNLDAAC/121 end_time: 1987-10-19T00:00:00 files: [] href: http://52.38.26.42:8080/dataset/nasa-ornldaac-121.yaml identifier: nasa-ornldaac-121 instrument_measurements: [] lat_max: 39.11 lat_min: 38.98 lon_max: -96.45 lon_min: -96.61 name: Surface Flux Baseline 92 Derived (FIFE) native_id: FIFE_SF_BL92 parents: [] processing_level: ~ publication_year: ~ references: [] release_dt: 1994-01-01T00:00:00 scale: ~ scope: ~ spatial_extent: ~ spatial_ref_sys: ~ spatial_res: ~ start_time: 1987-05-14T00:00:00 temporal_extent: ~ temporal_resolution: ~ type: dataset uri: /dataset/nasa-ornldaac-121 url: http://daac.ornl.gov/cgi-bin/dsviewer.pl?ds_id=121 variables: ~ version: ~ vertical_extent: ~
