The multi-model mean difference in total annual average precipitation under the higher emissions scenario (A2) for 2041-2070 relative to 1971-2000 was plotted for the midwestern United States.

1. For each model at each grid point, the total annual average precipitation under the higher emissions scenario (A2) was calculated for two periods: 1971-2000 and 2041-2070. 2. At each grid point, the total annual average precipitation for the two time periods was computed by averaging the following models: - cgcm3_t47 - cgcm3_t63 - cnrm - echam5 - echo - gfdl_2.1 - hadcm3 - pcm 3. At each grid point, the difference in total annual average precipitation was calculated for 2041-2070 minus 1971-2000. 4. Data were plotted for all grid points in the midwestern United States.
