1. At each grid point, the threshold value for days with a maximum daily temperature above the 98th percentile was calculated for each year (provided data were available for 95% of the days at that grid point). 2. At each grid point, the mean threshold daily maximum temperature was computed for the period 1971-2000. 3. Data were plotted for all grid points in the U.S. Great Plains.
