The multi-model mean difference in frost-free season length under the higher emissions scenario (A2) for 2070-2099 relative to 1971-2000 was plotted for the contiguous United States.

1. For each model at each grid point, the mean frost-free season length under the higher emissions scenario (A2) was calculated for two periods: 1971-2000 and 2070-2099. 2. At each grid point, the mean frost-free season length was computed for the following models: - cgcm3_t47 - cgcm3_t63 - cnrm - echam5 - echo - gfdl_2.1 - hadcm3 - pcm 3. At each grid point, the difference in frost-free season length was calculated for 2070-2099 minus 1971-2000. 4. Data were plotted for grid points that experienced 20 or more years with at least one frost during 1971-2000.
